I Am Stronger Than Anything In Your Kitchen

I once lived long ago in a solemn apartment permeated by physical and metaphorical darkness, as if some unknown danger was lurking – under the bed, behind the door, or hiding inside the kitchen pantry. One night I dreamt about a co-worker carrying a Black Madama Doll painted in White Face with a Blue dress that she attached to my bathroom wall. The Doll sprang to life, staring at me, mocking me while hissing invectives, the atmosphere of its new dark home energizing it. “I know what you are and I am not afraid of you,” I told her. She answered, “I am stronger than anything in your kitchen!” The next morning, I opened the pantry. It was completely infested with Moths.
